2 Peaks House
二山頂の家
2 is better than 1. The project gets its name from the meticulous design adjustments that enable the plan to fully embrace the view of an additional mountain peak. The client approached us with a blueprint, seeking our input. After examining the location, viewing angles, potential vistas, and sunlight, we quickly understood that minor design modifications could allow the building to showcase two stunning mountain peaks instead of just one. The original layout presented to us was in an "L" shape. However, by merely rotating the short segment of the "L" by 15 degrees, a whole new panorama came into focus. Coupled with other layout alterations, the design can now maximize its surroundings.
